Appeal for Harav Avrohom Pessin’s seforim

Morai V’Rabbosai,
Over the past 18 or so years since Avi U’mori’s Zt”l’s petirah, we have attempted to continue his amazing legacy of in depth learning of our Torah Hakedosha to the best of our abilities. This was done both through the maintenance of his Bais Hamedrash, and the publication of his Torah writings. To date we have published his Seforim on 3 Mesechtos (Megillah 2 volumes, Kedushin and Makos) as well as a sefer Teshuvos, all under the (approved by him) name of Temuras Ayil (Ayil is the hebrew acronym for his name Horav Avrohom Yehuda Leib). We are very proud of the work that has already been done. The seforim have by all accounts, not only remained true to his unique approach to learning in general and been an accurate transmission of his Torah, but as a result of the outstanding editorial work of Rav Moshe Hecht Shlit”a, Rav Aharon Jacoby Shlit”a, and my fathers Talmid and Nephew Rav Moshe Pessin Shlit”a, we have managed to also make the language in the seforim easily accessible to the general Torah learning public that had never heard of my father previously.
One of the most iconic shiurim given by Avi Umori Zt”l was his weekly Shabbos afternoon Pirkei Avos shiur. All those who were zocheh to attend it every summer Shabbos over 20 plus years can recall his application of his special Mehalach in learning and the amazing clarity of his approach,as well as the inclusion of so many of the Mefarshim. Now, after much preparatory work, we are finally almost ready to print a sefer which will not only include his Pirushim on much of Pirkei Avos, but also to include as a Pesicha to the sefer his Seder Shalsheles Limud Hatorah (this is my father’ Zt”l’s massive work on how the Derech Halimud of Torah evolved through the generations) . We would like very much to make this new sefer of Avi U’Mori Zt’l available to the Torah learning public around Yom Tov Shavuos. This can only be accomplished if we can raise a significant amount of funds in a relatively short span of time.
I am therefore sending out this email and others like it, as an appeal to his Talmidim and our Mispallim to assist the Ayil Institute (the name under which we publish Avi Umori’s seforim) to help us get the job done. There are dedication opportunities available, including the naming of the entire Madurah. If you wish to help us please contact me either at ephraimpessin@gmail.com or call/text me at 9144206714. Checks can be made out to the Ayil Institute and sent to 3 Smolley Drive Monsey NY 10952. Zelle to Ayil Institute is at 9144206714.
We thank you in advance for your support and look forward to sharing the sefer with you in the near future
Ephraim Pessin
