Shavuos information from the Rov

The Yomtov of Kabbolas HaTorah begins this week on Thursday evening iy”H. I therefore would like to bring sevel Yomtov related items to your attention:

Because this years YM”T SHavuos falls out on a Friday/Shabbos an Eruv Tavshilin must be made on Thursday prior to Yomtov to allow for Shabbos preparations on the first day of YM”T . Make the Birchas Eruv on two ready to eat tavshilim set aside to be eaten at Shalosh Seudos on the second day YM”T (Shabbos afternoon)

Even though YM”T shayni falls out on Shabbos , Yizkor is after laining on 2nd day

We will have learning all night in the BH”M beginning at midnight. Refreshments coffee and tea will be available for all who come to learn. Since some mispalilim requested specific limudim for Shevuos night, I will be learning the sugya of Kabbolas HaTorah in Maseches Shabbas, daf 86 iy”H for the first half of the night. Then we will learn Avi Umori’s Shalsheles Hatorah until Schachris which begin’s at 445am iy”H (this will be the only Schachris in our Shul 1rst day Shavuos morning) .

Two scheduling notes: There are some conflicts on the schedule regarding Mincha on YM”T.                                                                                                                           Mincha on Friday 1rst day Ym”T (erev Shabbos) will be at 755pm (with Maariv immediately following (Likavod Shabbos)                                                                         Mincha on the 2nd day of Ym”T (Shabbos afternoon) will be at 720pm iy”H (in order to leave ample time for Shalosh Seudos)
